Team Leader
It cannot be stressed how fundamentally important ‘teamwork’ is at North Star Foundation. Teamwork underpins safe and effective practice and is the key to unlocking a person’s independence and life opportunities. A single worker would not be able to make the dreams happen and keep up the momentum by themselves, and our team members work together to share the vision and the work.

The team leader is a rare and a special person who spurs the team and its resources towards common objectives. They are often visionary in their approach and make sure that the needs and wishes of people accessing our service always remain top of the agenda.

The team leader organises their workers in such a way to share the duties across the workforce and harness individual worker’s gifts and talents. They offer support to workers when they need it and work closely with the management team.
The team leader divides their time between front line duties and back office duties, such as planning their services, supporting staff members, and checking quality indicators. It is a highly stimulating and varied role which requires excellent judgment, consistency, and exemplary leadership skills to be successful.
