"Supporting people to enjoy good lives since 2005"
Flexible Support Worker
People accessing our service have learning disabilities and neurodiversity needs and need support to take part in their local community to access local resources, and to develop confidence and independence.

The FSW acts as a companion and a guide, teaching valuable life skills. They might be supporting individuals at work, with fitness and leisure activities, attending activity groups, improving health outcomes, taking a break or respite, or supporting at home.

There is not a typical day for the flexible support worker (FSW). They are always community based and spend considerable time outdoors and at activities. It is FSW’s job to make people’s days fulfilling and make their dreams happen - whether that is going swimming, horse riding, going to college and higher education, painting a masterpiece, going to church, meeting friends, or going to work on a farm.

Typically the FSW works with one person at a time in sessions of 2 to 8 hours. In some instances, FSW’s double up to support individuals who need extra support in community settings.
